With People was engaged by this Indigenous self-government, located in Behchokǫ̀, NWT, to perform a salary scale evaluation, evaluate staff satisfaction with current compensation practices, and amend their existing salary scale. This large-scale compensation evaluation involved surveying comparator organizations across YT and NWT. This benchmarking project was completed successfully in June 2024.

Bigstone Cree Nation Education Authority

The Bigstone Cree Nation Education Authority serves the members of Bigstone Cree Nation in Wabasca-Desmarais, Alberta with a variety of Education services. The primary responsibility of the BCNEA is the administration of Oski Pasikoniwew Kamik (OPK) that offers programming for students K-Grade 9, as well as students in Grades 10-12 at the newly constructed high school. With People Inc was engaged to support the BCNEA in strengthening self-determination in First Nations education, supporting and uplifting the aspirations of the community, and to improving educational outcomes.

Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta

The Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta (Treaty 8 FNA) is made up of 41 autonomous nations in the region. It is the political assembly designed to establish legal, political, fiscal, and economic relationships among these nations, and to unify on ways in which Treaty rights should be honoured and implemented for all Nations in the T8FNA. With People Inc. facilitated discussions among the Board of Governors to establish the Treaty 8 Polytechnic Post-Secondary Education (PSE). Our team developed governing policies, conducted a feasibility study, and organized a SWOT analysis session to lay a solid foundation for this educational initiative

Cheslatta Carrier Nation

Cheslatta Carrier Nation is a north-central BC First Nation located near Burns Lake, BC. With People was engaged to develop a full suite of HR policies and accompanying documents (including a manual, one-page staff handouts, and PowerPoint presentations), for a wide range of policies including vacation and leaves of absence and respectful workplace policies.

Ray-Mont Logistics

Ray-Mont Logistics is pioneer in integrated logistics solutions, offering terminal operations, ocean freight forwarding, and more. With People Inc. (WPI) was engaged by Ray-Mont to help facilitate complex collective bargaining for a first agreement with a new union. WPI has been actively working with Ray-Mont to ensure fair and equitable outcomes for all parties involved.

Explore Edmonton

Explore Edmonton Co. is a destination marketing organization in Edmonton, Alberta. It is involved in promoting Edmonton tourism, operating two of the city’s event facilities—the Edmonton Convention Centre and the Edmonton Expo Centre, and serving as the organizer of the annual exhibitions K-Days and Farmfair International. With People was engaged to assist a round of collective bargaining for their union.

Hinton

The Town of Hinton is located northeast of Jasper, in the Athabasca River Valley. With People Inc. worked with the Town’s HR department to support policy creation and ratification.
